DACT’s story

DACT’s story

In 2017, Daventry Area Community Transport (DACT) was nominated by Northamptonshire & Huntingdonshire freemasons to receive an MCF Community Award and, following a public vote, the charity received a grant of £15,000.

The grant has secured the future of their dial-a-ride service, a free minibus that transports elderly residents into town and back, helping to combat loneliness and social isolation. In this video, we follow a local freemason as he volunteers for a day at the charity and finds out just how important the service is to the local community.
